The Marketing team exhibited at the Conference and Hospitality Show at First Direct Arena, Leeds on April 4th 2017. They decided to use this opportunity to show off the latest technology they are utilising for conferencing and events.
Using virtual reality recording, two 360° tours of CGC venues; Bradford City FC and Castle Grove Masonic Hall in Headingley were available to view using special VR goggles. Visitors to the stand were then invited to “step inside!” and take a look around the venues there and then.
Clare Mortiboys, Marketing Manager said ‘We wanted the chance to showcase two of our lesser known, but versatile venues, and this provided the perfect opportunity. There aren’t many businesses really using virtual reality for conferencing yet, especially at exhibitions, so delegates were very enthusiastic about having a go! We think it’s the future of conferencing and events, it’s a great way of selling a venue and visitors to our stand really recognised this’
The team were also delighted to find out that CGC had been nominated for ‘Best Outside Caterer’, the second year running at the Conference and Hospitality Awards, which are taking place at the end of May.
