CGC Event Caterers is a long-established caterer with a distinctive British identity. With decades of experience we have built a reputation for great food, attentive service and craftsmanship. You can expect nothing less with us having been in the business over 120 years. Here are some key milestones in our history:
Craven Gilpin and Sons establish a catering business at The Mansion, Roundhay Park.
The company’s first marquee wedding was catered for in Gledhow. 3 miles from The Mansion, everything is transported by horse and cart for the wedding breakfast of Beatrice & Ernest Burrows.
CGC’s largest catering contract commences at York Racecourse.
A Management Buy In prompts a name change, the business becomes CGC Events.
CGC Events is acquired by SMG Europe, worldwide leader in venue management.
SMG merges with AEG Facilities to create ASM Global; the world’s leading venue management and services company
