York Racecourse is widely regarded as one of the Premier racecourses in Europe having been awarded the ‘Flat Racecourse of the Year’ award and also scooping the top prize in The Times newspaper’s survey of all Britain’s Racecourses.
CGC Event Caterers has provided catering services at the course for over 30 years and has a dedicated, stand-alone team of 40 full time York Racecourse Hospitality staff including chefs, event managers and sales executives. In addition, up to 900 catering staff members from our extensive staffing base are deployed across the course on a raceday.
Our catering provision at York Racecourse ranges from the operation of fast-paced, high volume kiosks, bars and food outlets in the public areas to elegant and intimate fine dining experiences within the many hospitality boxes and restaurants. 2015 saw the completion of a multi-million pound development including a brand new 140 seater restaurant offering spectacular views of the Parade Ring. In addition, the redesigned Champagne bar terraces tripled the seating capacity of the previous lawns and now feature a new Moet & Chandon Champagne bar.
